A time of prayer and fasting can seem like forever or can feel like it goes by in a heartbeat. Often, it is only toward the end of such a season that we truly start to get into the rhythm of things—as is usually the case.

Because of this, you may experience a lull after a season of prayer and fasting has ended and you no longer get together with your brothers and sisters each day. When this happens, life continues as normal… but it shouldn’t!
After prayer and fasting has ended, even though you may go back to chowing down on delicious foods, ensure that your prayer is as close to what it was during the time of prayer and fasting as possible. Other spiritual disciplines that you develop (such as reading your Bible) should also be maintained.
At the same time, you should continue trusting God and seeking to find His hand in your life.
Other simple things that you can continue to maintain is any relationships you’ve built with your church family through praying together.
Finally, something that occurs after prayer and fasting is a ‘fasting thank offering.’ This is a special offering where you can worship the Lord with a monetary gift. Pray about what to give during your fast and bless the Lord with it after the season of prayer and fasting has ended.
Even though a season of prayer and fasting comes to an end, the power of God in your life doesn’t!
As we go into a time of prayer and fasting, we pray that God will do great things in your life, reveal things to you through His Word, and that the Holy Spirit will bring breakthrough after breakthrough!
